Jesus meets his accusers with a dignified silence.

In these liturgies, Christ reveals again by the power of the Holy Spirit how much has been given to bear away our sins and how much we are loved by the Father. When we are more aware of such rich treasures, we will always find that new direction witnessed to by the apostles.
O my God, teach me the secret of the silence which reaches unto interior silence.
O Lord, I know that You want greater fidelity to silence. Yes, O God, I will be silent so that I can hear Your voice which speaks in silence.
